Congratulations to LPS team member Fatima Brepotra for getting a distinction in her Housing & Property Management Assistant apprenticeship. Fatima is dedicated and has a clear passion for the property industry so it was no surprise to us that she got a distinction.
The apprenticeship was a comprehensive program covering various aspects of property management. It included assignments on advertising properties, identifying and dealing with defects, understanding relevant legislation and regulations, safeguarding, personal development, research on social housing, general admin tasks, and even the historical context of housing. Workplace development activities and preparing a case study and presentation for the end-point assessment (EPA) were also key components.
The course took around two years to complete. While it’s usually shorter, a couple of changes within the apprenticeship team extended the timeline.
Fatima feels incredibly proud of her achievement. She learned a great deal over the two years and while balancing a full-time job with the apprenticeship was challenging, she persevered, making it all worthwhile.
The apprenticeship has proven invaluable in her day-to-day work at LPS. Juggling a full-time job and the apprenticeship, with all her responsibilities, was definitely hard, but now Fatima can directly apply the knowledge she gained. She has a much stronger understanding of regulations and housing acts, which she uses regularly. She can identify property defects more effectively, which is crucial given the company’s focus on maintenance. And she can confidently answer more queries from landlords, providing them with better support.
The apprenticeship has clearly had a positive impact on Fatima’s professional development, and she is considering pursuing further qualifications to deepen her knowledge in the field.
Fatima highly recommends the apprenticeship to anyone looking to enter the property industry. It provides a solid foundation and valuable practical skills.
Fatima will be continuing to let and sell properties in the Liverpool and Merseyside area under her new title of Negotiator.
The apprenticeship was delivered through the national apprenticeship provider, Babington. We're also excited to announce that Sophie, one of our administrative employees, will soon be starting the same apprenticeship program. This highlights our commitment to investing in our staff's development and providing them with the best opportunities to succeed in the property industry, ultimately allowing us to provide the very best service to our clients.
